Background

I started by studying how people think. I ended up designing the tools they use to work.

My path into product design came through cognitive psychology. I was fascinated by how people form mental models, how attention is structured, and how decision-making breaks down under cognitive load. When I discovered interaction design, it felt like applied cognitive science with immediate, measurable consequences.

Over seven years I've specialised in what most designers avoid: interfaces that are genuinely complex. Hospital prescription systems. Risk assessment engines. Multi-entity financial dashboards. Products where the user is an expert, the stakes are high, and simplification means something very different from "make it look cleaner".

Currently I'm based in Barcelona, designing medical software for clinical environments. The constraints are extreme — fixed three-column layouts, keyboard-only navigation, zero tolerance for input errors. I find them clarifying.

  • 2022 — present

    Senior Product Designer

    Medical Software Company — Barcelona

    Leading UX for a hospital management platform serving 40+ hospital groups across Spain. Designing prescription workflows, patient dashboards and clinical decision support tools under strict accessibility and compliance requirements. Working directly with clinical staff, pharmacists and hospital IT teams.

  • 2020 — 2022

    Product Designer

    Fintech Scale-up — Remote / Barcelona

    Owned UX across the core product — payment flows, onboarding, merchant dashboard and risk tooling. Led the checkout redesign that reduced abandonment by 70%. Worked closely with engineering and data teams to ship iteratively.

  • 2018 — 2020

    UX Designer

    Digital Agency — Barcelona

    Designed across a wide range of client products — media platforms, e-commerce, internal enterprise tools. Led the streaming platform redesign for a major SVOD client, reducing interactions to play from 7 to 3.

  • 2016 — 2018

    Junior UX Designer

    Product Studio — Barcelona

    First industry role. Worked on mobile apps, web platforms and design system foundations. Developed research and prototyping skills under senior mentorship.

Design philosophy

  • 01

    Clarity over cleverness

    The best interface decision is usually the most obvious one. Cleverness costs the user cognitive energy they need for their actual work. Clarity is the highest form of craft.

    Systems over screens

    A single screen solves nothing in isolation. Every design decision is a systems decision — about information hierarchy, state, errors, edge cases and the invisible flows between them.

    Constraints are a gift

    The most constrained problems produce the most inventive solutions. Technical limitations, accessibility requirements, regulated domains — these force real thinking rather than aesthetic preference.

    Details reveal character

    The quality of a product is visible in how it handles error states, loading, edge cases and the transitions between them. This is where respect for the user shows.

    Research never stops

    Assumptions are the enemy. Every design phase — discovery, definition, delivery — requires contact with real users in real contexts. Even after launch, the work is not done.
